There is something about March that feels like a threshold.
Not quite winter. Not fully spring.
The light shifts, but gently. The air softens, but cautiously. And inside the home, we begin to sense that something new is coming.
This month, I find myself wanting to tend the home — not just in the practical sense, but in the deeper, quieter way.
Home is more than walls and furniture. It is rhythm. It is atmosphere. It is conversation. It is our thought life. It is creativity. It is the unseen tending that shapes how we live.
With spring arriving on March 20, I thought it might be meaningful to spend these five Mondays reflecting on five areas of “home” that I want to nurture as we move into a new season.
Here is what I’ll be exploring:
Week One: Tending the Physical Space
How small changes — a cleared surface, fresh flowers, lighter textures — shift not only a room, but a mood.
The home we see every day quietly shapes us.
Week Two: Tending Daily Rhythms
Morning coffee. Stretching. Walks. Conversation.
The ordinary patterns that give our days steadiness and grace.
Week Three: Tending Relationships
Friendships in this season. Lunch conversations. Shared laughter.
How community becomes part of the home we carry within us.
Week Four: Tending Creative Space
The space between projects. The quiet before the next idea blooms.
Why I’m learning not to rush what is still forming.
Week Five: Tending the Heart (Welcoming Spring)
As the first days of spring arrive, I want to reflect on what I am hoping to grow — not just outside, but inside.
Light. Gratitude. Openness. Peace.
March feels less like a month to accomplish and more like a month to prepare.
To open windows — literally and figuratively.
To let in air.
To notice what needs care.
To move slowly toward the light.
I hope you’ll join me as I spend this month tending the home — in all the ways that matter most.
Gratitude: For seasons that gently invite us to begin again.

Thank you for today and the next four Mondays.
I will be attentive to tending this month!
