Tending the Heart: Welcoming Spring

There is something about the turning of a season that invites a quieter kind of reflection.

Not the kind that asks us to figure everything out…
but the kind that gently draws us inward.

As March comes to a close, I’ve found myself thinking about all the ways we tend a home—
the spaces we clean, the routines we create, the rhythms we try to hold.

And yet, the most important tending…
is often the one we cannot see.

It’s the tending of the heart.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been sitting with a deeper awareness—
of my thoughts, my feelings, and the quiet truths that sometimes take time to rise to the surface.

There are moments in life when something within us asks to be acknowledged.
Not loudly.
Not urgently.
But honestly.

And I’m learning that tending the heart sometimes means allowing that honesty to exist…
even when it feels a little unsteady.

Spring doesn’t rush its arrival.

It unfolds slowly—
through softer light in the mornings,
longer days,
and the smallest signs of something new just beginning to emerge.

I find comfort in that.

Because in many ways, the heart moves the same way.

Not everything needs to be resolved all at once.
Not every feeling needs an immediate answer.

Sometimes, it’s enough to simply notice…
to sit with what is…
and to trust that clarity will come in its own time.

These days, I’m still moving through my routines—
morning coffee, quiet walks, small errands, tending to my home.

And yet, beneath it all, there is a gentle awareness…
a kind of inner work that doesn’t ask to be seen, but is there just the same.

It’s a reminder that life is always layered.
That even in the most ordinary moments, something meaningful can be unfolding within us.

As I step into April, I’m not carrying a need for everything to feel certain or complete.

Instead, I’m choosing something softer.

To be present.
To be honest.
To be gentle with myself in the process.

To trust what is still becoming.

Because tending the heart is not about fixing…
it’s about allowing.

Allowing space.
Allowing truth.
Allowing time.

And maybe, that is where the real beauty of a new season begins.

Gratitude:
Today, I’m grateful for the quiet courage it takes to be honest with myself… and for the gentle unfolding of a new season. 🌸
