Unveiling the Magic: My Festive Christmas Decorating Journey of 2023
In the warmth of home and the magic of Christmas, hearts aglow with love, creating a tapestry of joy that makes every season bright. -Marcia🌟 As November 1st dawned, I eagerly embarked on my Christmas decorating journey for 2023. With anticipation, I retrieved my Christmas bins from the attic, each box containing cherished memories and festive treasures. Sorting through decorations, I carefully selected elements to transform my living space into a holiday haven. Fueled by the spirit of the season, my goal was set to weave the magic of Christmas throughout the living room, dining alcove, and kitchen. The living … Read the full blog post
A DAY IN THE LIFE🥰/SHE SHED🐓/Part 2
“It always seems impossible until it is done.” Hello, sweet friend… Living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest can present challenges when it comes to completing outdoor projects due to the region’s inclement weather… such was the case this past week… due to cooler temperatures, and rainfall I realized that my spring She Shed refresh… would most likely take longer than I had anticipated… however… I do look forward to sharing the finished project with you…if I can manage to complete it… until then here is the link to Part 1🌸My Cottage She Shed & Spring Refresh|Part 1🌸 where I shared … Read the full blog post

Seven Years Later…🌻
“To have courage for whatever comes in life…everything lies in that.” – Teresa of Avila Hello, sweet friends… I hope you are doing well… This week marks seven years since Joe and I made the move to a small beach cottage along the Oregon coast… looking back I realize now that this move was a h.u.g.e leap of faith for me… But taking a leap of faith meant that I fully surrendered to all expectations. It meant that I allowed myself to start anew and feel completely free. Along the way I came to realize that who I am is … Read the full blog post

Just Another Week in Paradise
“Take care to keep open house: Because in this way some have had angels as their guests, without being conscious of it” ~Hebrews 13:2 I’ve been meaning to share with you a chair that I saw a few weeks ago. It seems as if I’m often finding chairs that call out to me. This particular one came home with me that day. Oh and since we are becoming such good friends I also thought I’d share a little quirky thing I do quite often Periodically I go on the outside and pretend that I’m a visitor. I walk, look around and imagine that … Read the full blog post

A Year In The Life – 2016
“We spend January 1st walking through our lives, room by room drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives. ..not looking for flaws, but for potential.” ~Ellen Goodman I had posted this as a goal for 2016. If 2016 has taught me anything it has been to enjoy the process & not so much on the end result. As I reflect back on the last 12 months ( I started by reading this post) A peek at 2015 … Read the full blog post
I love nature!
It’s Saturday morning. My husband brought a fresh cup of coffee into our bedroom which is located in the back part of our cottage. He said he thought it looked like a beautiful morning sunrise, and that perhaps we could go to the jetty. I said “sure! ” Here’s a few photos I popped out. Enjoy!
casual wear
I enjoy a fun simple date day with my husband. Having a simple casual go to outfit makes for a low key stress free evening out.
Coastal Fall

Tsunamis, Earthquakes, and Happiness
Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ I must tell you that my week started off just fabulous. Since it “officially” marked one month in our sweet little seaside cottage on the Oregon coast. And, yes… it’s just a month, and yes, the weather has been pretty perfect for summer… and y.e.s…I also realize that I haven’t experienced the winter yet. (eyes WIDE open) With that said…I’m here for the long run, and no matter how wild the winter what may come … Read the full blog post
