There are seasons in life when everything feels beautifully planned.
And then there are seasons when life asks us to stay open.
Lately, I’ve been reminded that not everything needs to be figured out all at once. Some weeks ask us to hold things gently—to trust what is unfolding without needing every detail in place.
This season feels a little like that for me.
There are meaningful things ahead. Some are joyful. Some feel tender. Some carry both at once.
As I move through these summer days, I keep returning to the importance of staying present—to the quiet gifts right in front of me. Morning coffee on the terrace. The stillness of the pond. Bike rides under soft skies. Small conversations. Familiar routines. These simple anchors matter.
They remind me that life is not only lived in the big moments.
It is also found in the ordinary moments that steady us.
I’ve also been reflecting on creativity and how deeply it is woven into the life I want to live. Writing, decorating a home, preparing a meal, arranging flowers, sharing stories—all of it feels connected to living with intention.
This Friday, I’ll be spending a little time in a small independent bookstore, meeting readers and sharing my books. It feels both exciting and humbling. Writing has become such a meaningful part of this chapter of my life, and I never take for granted the gift of connecting with others through words.
I’m learning that life rarely unfolds in perfect straight lines.
Instead, it asks us to trust.
To stay open.
To remain present.
And maybe that is enough.
Perhaps peace doesn’t come from having everything figured out.
Perhaps peace comes from trusting the next step.
For now, that is where I want to live—
with gratitude,
with openness,
and with a quiet trust in the life that is unfolding.

Thank you for the reminder to ‘stay present’. As you mentioned, there are things right in front of me that I would miss if I did not stay present. Hoping your book signing goes well ❤️
Thank you so much, Jose. I’m so glad the message resonated with you. It’s amazing how much beauty and grace we notice when we slow down and stay present. Wishing you a wonderful week.
