A Backyard Treasure

🌻Hello, sweet friend and Happy June!🌻

The expression “you don’t have to look very far to see how lucky you are “ took on a whole new meaning recently…

as Joe and I headed home from an out of town trip

and

discovered a hidden treasure. practically in our own backyard

(how lucky is that!)

The Elkton Community Education Center (ECEC)  is a 30 acre nature preserve that includes extensive flower gardens

native plant park and nursery,

library

art exhibits

and a Butterfly Pavilion.

During the summer months they offer guided tours and an on-site cafe.

And what backyard treasures are you hoping to discover this summer?

I had to laugh when I heard myself say “freeway” instead of highway… It’s my California roots.😎

      Hi Becky,
There is so much natural beauty on the Oregon coast. Discovering the special treasures is an added luxury. XO

Thank you for the reminder that there are ‘hidden treasures’ right in our own backyard.
    Your California roots are good!
