A Yard Sale

I just perused my first yard sale here in town.

Yep that’s right. f.i.r.s.t  My gf has invited me to go yarding before.

However, she’s a serious yard sale kind a gal, which means she leaves at the crack of dawn. Which goes against every grain of my retirement nature. (grin)

So recently I invited her to go with me, which meant I got to choose the time. (giggle)

Anyway, I’m so grateful to have a friend that is a wise shopper, and has excellent taste.

She’s actually assisted in a few choices for purchases I’ve made & aware of the THREE questions I now ask myself before purchasing anything.

20160916_135006

1. Do I need it?

2. Can I afford it?

3. Where will I put it?

With that said of course I fell in love with several treasures, and asked myself the 3 questions. 1. yes 2. yes 3…..????

This is when I turned to my gf for a little assistance. I said: “Help me…I’ve answered 2 out of 3.”

Her reply was… “Ok. #3. You want it!!!!”

Thank goodness for helpful gf’s!

btw…my total treasure hunt came to $11.00

This included a pink bone china teacup/saucer, 2 teacup/lunch servers, lace tablecloth, white pottery pitcher/bowl

and the most adorable wicker hanging basket.

Oh, and of course because I’m really serious about the 3 question test. I was able to answer #3.

A perfect spot for tea!

Hi Carol! Yes! I know it as “Junking” too. Many years ago I sold my “junking” finds. I was a vender in serveral antique shops. I’d take them from junk to goods to sell! Ha!
      Thank goodness I out~grew the selling part.♡
