Autumn Rose. ..

I think the fall roses are always my favorite. Perhaps because they are richer in color their scents are stronger this time of year.  This is a climbing rose getting ready to bloom again.  It looks like it is floating through the air.  I Just love it. My favorites are Eden roses. What kind of roses do you like? Do you prefer scented? And what about your favorite color?  I hope you have a wonderful day my friend. .. And remember to take time to smell the Roses…

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ A few of my friends are in the midst of life changes. Deep in my heart I know everything will work out one way or another for them.  Our conversations  have reminded me the importance of doing those things we can, surrendering then trusting that things work out the way they will. Re-edited post 11-7-14 (As I was preparing for a move to the Oregon coast) Happy Monday! I have missed you….I mean…  really…                                                                                       really…                           … Continue reading

Turn Back Time

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ This is a re~post from November 2015. I’d just returned from a trip to New England to follow the changing of the leaves.  It’s me again! Ha! Welllllll.…did ya remember to turn back your clocks? My husband actually turns ours back the night before. (grin) I really am going to make this post a quick one, mostly photos I think. Photos of Fall. I took some gorgeous photos if I say so myself…photos of what Fall is suppose to look like. I had nooo idea! These photos are from New England. I took a zillion. It’s amazing to me that the leaves are most beautiful as they transition. Change. End one growth cycle, in preparation for the next. It’s a very important process for … Continue reading

An Outfit For All Seasons

Anyone who knows me knows I enjoy a little fashion. I use to own many closets filled with clothes, shoes, & accessories when I lived in California.  I’m proud to say that since moving to the coast I’m down to basically 2 very small beachy closets. I still love fashion, however I now am extremely careful what I purchase, & try to donate an item for each item I bring into the cottage. This is really important if you want to impress your friends dont want to end up with all this “stuff” you no longer need, use, or wear. I’m finding that a few items go a long way when you cleverly mix & match. Your friends will think you have soooo many clothes, and when you tell them no you don’t,  but that you’ve learned how to play the mix & match game… They will be soooo impressed!

Three Years, a Blog, and a Cottage Later

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ It’s arrived. Yippee! I get to begin another project here in my sweet cottage. I love November for many reasons. Mainly it’s my Gratitude month. A month to embrace all the things that I’m most grateful for. Even though I’m very aware of the good  occurrences in everyday life November is it’s  gentle reminder. As you must know unless you are new to my blog is that I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to live here on the Oregon coast. It’s allowed me many wonderful, and different opportunities for experiencing life. With that said this past week on November 1, I celebrated 3 years of blogging. So much has happened 543 posts & lots of new friends since that first spontaneous post I decided to write one day as … Continue reading
